  
  
RTE GUIDELINES & REQUIREMENTS
All authorized users must abide by the following ticket entry guidelines and requirements. The guidelines and requirements are very important and are strongly enforced. The NCOCC reserves the right to deny RTE access to any company or user if below guidelines and requirements are not followed.
Guidelines
- A locate request is valid for fifteen (15) working days, excluding weekends and holidays, from the date and time the locate was entered. The locate request must be updated on the thirteenth (13th) working day if the work will not be completed within 15 days.
- RTE is available 24 hours a day. Normal operating hours are 6 am to 10 pm, Monday through Friday.
Locate requests entered after 10 pm or on holidays or weekends are processed two working days from the next working business day.
- RTE user is responsible for notifying all non-member utility companies not participating with the NCOCC.
- RTE user assumes all liability for location information submitted to NCOCC via RTE.
- RTE user is to provide sufficient, accurate, complete locate information/instructions.
- RTE user is responsible for area selected on the map (grid/grids) which determines the member utilities to be notified.
Requirements
- Possess working knowledge of NCOCC and information needed to complete a locate request & ability to read maps.
- Authorized user accepts responsibility for all information provided on the locate request. NCOCC will not be held responsible for any information entered via RTE.
- Authorized user must complete an instruction course with an NCOCC representative. ALL users must be authorized by NCOCC.
- NCOCC will randomly monitor RTE locate requests. The authorized user may need to clarify and/or provide more detailed information to complete a locate request.
- NCOCC reserves the right to disable any RTE authorized users account without notice to the authorized user and/or company. Primary reasons are due to inaccurate information, inaccurate ticket entry/mapping procedures, as well as unauthorized users accessing RTE
